How the components work together
Loxone Miniserver
The central control element in the Loxone Smart Home System. It connects all devices and functions in a smart home – similar to the nervous system of the human body. The Miniserver automates and monitors tasks in the areas of security, comfort, and energy efficiency, ensuring that everything works together harmoniously.
Loxone Aquastar Air
An intelligent, fully automatic 6-way backwash valve specially designed for seamless integration into the Loxone Smart Home System. In combination with the Loxone Miniserver, it allows all pool functions such as water treatment, filter control, and more to be controlled and automated via the Loxone System. The connection is wireless via Loxone Air technology.
Loxone Extension
An extension unit for the Loxone Miniserver that provides additional digital and analog inputs and outputs. Extensions enable the integration of additional devices and functions. They can be retrofitted or replaced at any time to adapt the system to changing requirements. Up to 30 extensions can be connected per Miniserver.
iQnnect uses extensions to integrate devices such as heat pumps, filter pumps, underwater lighting, and water treatment systems. Basically, all devices that are compatible with a Loxone extension can be easily integrated into the iQnnect system. This allows the expansion of an iQnnect basic installation with additional components such as pool covers, video surveillance, counter-current systems, outdoor lighting, photovoltaic systems, and much more.
Other important Loxone terms
Loxone Link
A stable and expandable proprietary communication bus based on CAN bus technology. The Miniserver and Extensions communicate with each other via the Loxone Link. Up to 30 Extensions can be connected via this two-wire bus, ensuring reliable and fast data transmission.
Loxone Air
The wireless standard for communication within the Loxone Smart Home system. Loxone Air enables various devices such as buttons, sensors, and actuators to be connected wirelessly – a flexible alternative to wired Tree Bus technology.
Loxone Library
A comprehensive online database that provides templates and interfaces for integrating external devices and systems. All devices compatible with Peraqua's iQnnect system are stored in the Loxone Library, ensuring easy integration into the Loxone system.
Loxone Config Software
The software used to program the Loxone Miniserver. Here, individual configurations can be created, commissioning can be carried out, and the entire system can be customized according to the user's wishes.
Loxone App
The Loxone app can be used to control all functions of the Loxone system – from pool monitoring to lighting. With the System Schematics and the Automatic Designer , pool functions can be easily combined and automated. This gives users a complete overview and control at all times.

- iQnnect pool technology is suitable for private pools measuring 5 × 3 × 1.5 m to 15 × 6 × 1.5 m. Depending on the pool size and customer requirements, different or additional products can be integrated.

- Loxone components can be purchased from a Loxone partner or directly from Loxone.
