Maximum filtration performance down to 1 micron
Thanks to state-of-the-art surface calibration and optimized grain geometry, Nature Works achieves exceptional filtration efficiency of up to 99.64%. Even the finest particles of down to 1 µm are reliably removed from the water - significantly finer than with conventional filter sand and many standard glass filter media.
The result:
- visibly clearer and more hygienic pool water
- lower turbidity levels
- more stable water parameters
- reduced use of chlorine and pool chemicals
Significantly superior to filter sand
Compared to traditional quartz sand, Nature Works offers decisive technical and economic advantages:
No biofilm formation
Due to its rough surface, filter sand tends to promote the formation of biofilm and bacterial buildup. Over time, this leads to clumping, channeling, and a decline in filtration performance.
Nature Works, on the other hand, consists of high-purity, smooth flat glass with a virtually pore-free surface. This makes it significantly more difficult for bacteria and biofilm to colonize the material.
No compaction in the filter bed
The integrated anti-compaction technology prevents the filter material from clumping and reduces microchannels in the filter bed. Water flow remains consistently constant, and filtration operates much more efficiently.
Fewer backwashes
Thanks to its high dirt-holding capacity and reduced compaction, significantly fewer backwashes are required.
This saves:
- Water
- Energy
- Heating costs
- Pool chemicals
Can be used for up to 10 years
While filter sand often loses performance after just 1 – 2 years and must be replaced regularly, Nature Works can be used for up to 10 years.
Premium quality made from pure white flat glass
Unlike many conventional glass filter media, Nature Works is not made from mixed waste glass or recycled bottles, but from pure white flat glass of virgin glass quality.
The advantage:
- 99.999 % impurity-free virgin glass
- no organic residues
- no colored inclusions
- no contamination from municipal recycling waste
- consistently high filter quality
The high material purity ensures maximum hygiene and long-term stable filtration properties.
Advantages over conventional recycled filter glass
Many glass filter media are made from recycled bottle glass of various origins. These materials may contain impurities, have uneven grain structures, or exhibit lower long-term stability.
Compared to standard glass filter media, Nature Works offers:
- higher purity
- more precise grain calibration
- better fine filtration
- lower tendency to form biofilm
- less channeling
- longer service life
- lower maintenance requirements
More efficient than activated glass filter media
Unlike chemically or thermally activated filter glass, Nature Works relies on permanently stable mechanical filtration without any additional surface treatment.
The specially developed anti-compaction technology keeps the filter bed open and prevents pressure increases and flow losses. This reduces backwash intervals and sustainably lowers water consumption.
Additionally, Nature Works requires no additional support layer in the filter vessel.
Sustainable and cost-effective
Nature Works combines top-tier filtration performance with sustainable resource conservation:
- lower water consumption
- reduced energy requirements
- less pool chemical use
- longer replacement intervals
- less material consumption
Thanks to its long service life and reduced operating costs, the investment pays for itself in a short time.
The filter media is manufactured in Europe and delivered in environmentally friendly, FSC-certified paper packaging.
