Safety design for underfloor and flooded suction applications

The ball valve features a "below grade – blocked seat flooded suction design", i.e., a blow-out-proof valve seat design that was specially developed for installations below ground level.

Specifically, this means:

• The valve seat is structurally blocked and secured from the inside so that it cannot be pushed out of the housing even under static pressure.
• Even if the union nut of the single union is loosened when the pump is switched off, the valve seat remains securely in position.
• There is no sudden escape of water or components, even though the pipe is still under gravitational pressure.

This safety feature is particularly important for pump sumps, underground piping, and all systems where the pump is installed below the water level.
