Note on Pump Operation
The pump cover and the prefilter housing are not designed to withstand back pressure from the return line. If back pressure builds up in the return line after the pump is shut off, this can cause damage or lift the prefilter cover. In addition, the seal (O-ring) on the prefilter cover may be compromised, which can negatively affect the system's watertightness.
To prevent water from flowing back from the return line to the pump, the installation of a check valve is recommended. This prevents the water column in the return line from flowing back when the pump is stopped and exerting pressure on the prefilter cover.
