Description

Rollgum BOND007 adhesive sealant and sealer is a single-component, elastic adhesive and sealant with a hybrid base – ideal for bonding and sealing Rollgum EPDM membranes to each other and to various substrates (e.g., concrete, metal, brick). Also suitable for other EPDM materials.

Processing

Apply to a clean surface using a cartridge gun. For EPDM seam bonding, overlap by at least 100 mm with two parallel strands. Curing depends on environmental conditions. Avoid mechanical stress during the first 7 days.

Description

Rollgum Tack S 22.1 l is a contact-based, sprayable adhesive specially developed for the secure bonding of EPDM and TPO membranes to various substrates such as concrete, wood, masonry, metal, and other suitable materials.

Excellent aging behavior. Excellent adhesion. Good cold and heat resistance.

Notes

It is recommended to store the adhesive at a temperature between 10°C and 30°C.
The recommended room temperature for processing is between 5°C and 40°C.
It is not recommended to work at substrate temperatures (substrate and membrane) above 50 – 60°C.
Shake the adhesive container vigorously before and during use.
The surfaces must be clean, smooth, dry, and free of dust and sharp edges.
Although good adhesion occurs quickly, full adhesive strength is only achieved after 48 to 72 hours.

Description

Rollgum Form self-adhesive tape is a malleable, self-adhesive sealing strip made of unhardened EPDM rubber that adapts to the irregular shapes of two- or three-dimensional objects. It consists of an unvulcanized EPDM membrane laminated onto a pressure-sensitive carrier and coated with vulcanized rubber adhesive.

This self-adhesive strip is perfect for minor repairs and single-layer EPDM sealing projects. It adapts to irregular surfaces and is used to seal corners, pipes, overhangs, and other applications.

Processing

Sealing: Seal visible edges with Rollgum BOND007.

Notes

At low temperatures (<15°C), heating with hot air is recommended to ensure optimum workability.
Must not be used on PVC membranes.
Not suitable for high-traffic areas.
Talcum powder, dust, oil, ice, snow, or damp conditions impair adhesion. Clean and dry surfaces are required to apply this product.

Description

Rollgum primer for EPDM membranes is a specially developed primer for cleaning and preparing EPDM membranes before using self-adhesive products or splice adhesives. It ensures optimum adhesion and reliable bonding of the materials.

Processing

Stir well before use. Apply the primer evenly to the cleaned EPDM surface using medium to high pressure - on smooth surfaces with an applicator pad, on textured surfaces with a brush. Avoid streaks or primer build-up. Once dry (adhesion test), adhesive products can be applied.

Rollgum SA Flashing 18" self-adhesive strip

Description

The Rollgum SA Flashing 457 mm (18") self-adhesive membrane consists of a non-reinforced EPDM membrane with a thickness of 1.5 mm, which is fully laminated onto a self-adhesive tape. The reverse side is equipped with a weather-resistant protective film that is easy to remove.

The Rollgum SA Flashing strip can be used to cover details where a vulcanized EPDM seal is required: curves, upstands, gutters, repairs to EPDM roofs, repairs to metal roofs, gullies, and protruding pipes.

Processing

Preparation: Before applying Rollgum Primer, the surface must be clean, dry, and free of aggressive elements. If the product has been exposed to temperatures below 15°C for a prolonged period, it must be brought to room temperature before use.
Bonding: Place the strip on the dried primer, remove the protective film, and press down evenly with a silicone roller. Apply the tape in only one or two dimensions, i.e., flat or with only one change of direction.
Sealing: Seal visible edges with Rollgum BOND007.

Notes

At low temperatures (<15°C), heating with hot air is recommended to ensure optimum formability.
Store the tape in its original packaging, unopened, in a covered, ventilated place at temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. The material must be kept dry and must not be exposed to direct sunlight until installation.
The expiration date is 12 months if the tape is stored under the conditions mentioned above. Check the date of manufacture on each roll. The actual expiration date of the product depends directly on how it has been stored and handled. For example, storage at high temperatures can shorten the period of use with optimal results.
